Common Privacy Policy

This page sets out the common privacy policy (this “Policy”) that applies to the apps provided by us. For app-specific data handling practices, please also review the dedicated app sections below. In this Policy, “we,” “us,” or “our” refers to the operator of each app, and “user,” “you,” or “your” refers to a user of each app.

1. Operator Information

We provide the apps as an individual developer based in Japan.

For safety and privacy reasons as an individual operator, we do not directly display our personal name, address, or telephone number on this page. Where disclosure is required by applicable law, or where a user makes a legally valid request for disclosure, we will disclose the required information without undue delay by email or another appropriate method in accordance with applicable law.

For disclosure requests and other inquiries, please contact us through the contact point listed in “4. Contact.”

2. Service Availability and Excluded Territories

The apps are not intended for distribution, download, access, or use in the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, China, South Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Israel, or any jurisdiction or region where distribution, access, or use would be prohibited or restricted under applicable laws or regulations.

The apps are also not intended for distribution, access, or use by any individual or entity that is subject to applicable sanctions, including sanctions administered by the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).

By downloading, accessing, or using any of the apps, you represent that you are not located in any excluded territory listed above and are not otherwise prohibited from using the apps under applicable sanctions, export control laws, or other applicable laws or regulations.

If we determine that an app is being used from an excluded territory or by a prohibited person or entity, we may restrict access to the app or its related functions to the extent permitted by law and by the relevant platform rules.

3. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

This Policy is governed by the laws of Japan.

If any dispute arises between you and us in connection with this Policy or any of the apps, the Otsu District Court in Japan shall be the exclusive court of first instance to the extent permitted by applicable law. However, if mandatory consumer protection laws or other mandatory laws provide for another court or jurisdiction, those mandatory provisions shall prevail.

4. Changes to This Policy

We may amend this Policy as necessary due to changes in applicable laws and regulations, App Store requirements, app specifications, external services, data handling practices, or other circumstances.

If we make material changes, we will notify users by in-app notice, on our website, or by another appropriate method. Where user consent is required by applicable law for a change, we will obtain such consent by an appropriate method.

5. Contact

For inquiries regarding this Policy, the handling of user information in each app, requests for disclosure of operator information, or other matters, please contact us at:

  • Email address: support@irucaorca.com

6. Use by Minors

If a minor uses any of the apps, the app should be used with the consent and supervision of a parent, guardian, or other legal representative. Parents and guardians should appropriately manage the minor’s use of the apps and any purchases by using iOS features such as Screen Time, Content & Privacy Restrictions, purchase restrictions, Family Sharing, and other available controls.

We do not intend to knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a minor, we will promptly delete such information. Any app-specific intended age rating or age-related notice is described in the dedicated section for the relevant app.

7. Security

As a basic design principle, we do not transmit user information to our own servers and instead rely primarily on on-device processing. However, some apps may store or transmit data to external servers or third-party services in order to provide their functions, as described in the dedicated section for the relevant app. We make reasonable efforts to maintain the security of each app’s specifications, code, dependency components, and related elements.

However, we cannot control events that are not managed by us, such as loss or theft of a device, vulnerabilities in the operating system or third-party services, unsafe Wi-Fi connections, data leaks by third-party services, unauthorized logins, or similar events. Users should take appropriate security measures, such as enabling device locks, updating the operating system, using two-factor authentication, managing passwords properly, and taking precautions against phishing.

8. Position Under Japan’s Personal Information Protection Act

During ordinary use of the apps, we design the apps so that we do not acquire or store users’ personal information on our own servers, except as otherwise described in the dedicated app sections. However, if a user contacts us, requests disclosure of operator information, contacts us regarding a refund, bug, or support issue, or otherwise communicates with us, we may acquire the user’s email address, name, inquiry details, and other information necessary to respond or provide support.

If we acquire personal information, we will use it within the scope necessary for responding to inquiries, verifying identity, making necessary communications, complying with legal obligations, handling disputes, and other purposes indicated at the time of acquisition.

We will not provide acquired personal information to third parties unless permitted by law, such as where required by law, where we have the user’s consent, where necessary to protect life, body, or property, or where otherwise permitted under applicable law.

9. Retention and Deletion of Personal Information

If we acquire personal information through inquiries, support requests, disclosure requests, refund-related communications, or other communications from users, we will retain such information only for the period reasonably necessary to achieve the relevant purpose, to comply with legal obligations, to resolve disputes, or to protect our rights and legitimate interests.

When the relevant purpose has been achieved and retention is no longer necessary, we will delete or appropriately dispose of the information, unless continued retention is required or permitted by applicable law.

10. User Rights and Requests

To the extent provided under applicable law, users may request disclosure, correction, deletion, suspension of use, or other handling of personal information that we hold about them.

If you wish to make such a request, please contact us at [support@irucaorca.com](mailto:support@irucaorca.com). We may ask you to provide information reasonably necessary to verify your identity and process your request. We will respond to legally valid requests in accordance with applicable law.

Please note that, because the apps are primarily designed to process and store information on the user’s device rather than on our servers, many types of app data can be managed or deleted directly by deleting the relevant data within the app or deleting the app from the device.

11. Tracking and App Tracking Transparency

Some apps request permission under Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework for advertising purposes and, only if the user grants permission, use the IDFA (advertising identifier) for ad delivery and measurement. The apps that request ATT permission and the details of such use are described in the dedicated section for the relevant app. Users can change their permission status at any time through iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.

In the other apps, we do not request permission under the ATT framework and do not acquire IDFA, advertising IDs, tracking IDs, or similar identifiers for advertising measurement or cross-app or cross-site tracking purposes. We ourselves do not use information for the purpose of tracking users across apps or websites owned by other companies.

12. Processing by Apple

The distribution of the apps, purchases, in-app purchases, refunds, subscription management, App Store display, and the handling of crash information and diagnostic information by Apple are subject to the terms and privacy policy of Apple Inc. We do not receive credit card numbers or other payment information.

13. Third-Party Services and International Processing

Certain apps may use third-party services such as Apple services, RevenueCat, Apple WeatherKit, Google AdMob, Google Firebase, GitHub, or other external distribution sources, depending on the functions of the relevant app. The specific services used by each app are described in the dedicated section for that app.

Information handled by such third-party services may be processed in countries or regions outside the user’s country or region of residence. Such processing is subject to the privacy policies and terms of the relevant third-party service providers. We use such services only to the extent necessary for app distribution, purchase management, feature provision, support, maintenance, security, or improvement of the relevant app.

Adwall Privacy Policy

Notice: This section explains the data collection and handling practices specific to “Adwall.” For common matters such as operator information, governing law, contact, use by minors, security, handling of personal information, and other general matters, please be sure to review the Common Privacy Policy at the top of this page.

The operator of Adwall (the “App”) establishes this privacy policy (this “App Policy”) for the handling of user information in the App as follows.

1. Scope

This App Policy applies to the handling of user information in the App.

When a user accesses third-party websites, social networking services, video services, community services, advertisements, linked pages, or other third-party services through the in-app browser, the terms of use, privacy policies, cookie policies, and other terms of those third-party services apply to the handling of information by such third parties. We do not control the handling of information by such third-party services.

2. Basic Policy

The App does not transmit users’ personal information, browsing history, search terms, input contents, authentication information, cookie values, advertising IDs, location information, or other user-identifying information to our servers. During ordinary use of the App, we do not collect use logs, analytics data, crash reports, or advertising measurement data that can identify users.

Data necessary for providing the App’s functions is, in principle, stored on the user’s device. However, when a user browses third-party services through the in-app browser, ordinary web browsing communications occur between the user and the relevant third-party service. In addition, communications may occur with external distribution sources such as GitHub in order to update ad-blocking rules and similar data.

3. Data We Do Not Collect

The App does not transmit or store the following data on our servers:

  1. Name, email address, telephone number, address, or other contact information;
  2. Browsing history, search history, or history of accessed URLs;
  3. Text field input, posted content, or form submission content;
  4. Passwords, authentication codes, passkeys, authentication tokens, cookie values, or session IDs;
  5. Location information;
  6. Camera, microphone, contacts, or photo library information;
  7. IDFA, advertising IDs, or tracking IDs;
  8. Crash reports, usage analytics data, or advertising measurement data; or
  9. Account information or profile information for third-party services.

4. Data Stored on the Device

The App stores the following data on the user’s device in order to provide its functions. This data is not transmitted to our servers.

4.1 Cookies, Cache, and Site Data

The App’s in-app browser may store cookies, cache, local storage, IndexedDB, and other site data used by each website in the App’s dedicated storage area in order to maintain login sessions for third-party services, display pages, and enable ordinary web browsing.

This data is issued by third-party services and used for communications with those third-party services. We do not transmit cookie values, authentication tokens, or session information to our servers.

4.2 App Settings

Search engine selection, UI display settings, ad-blocking status, private mode settings, SNS tabs used, initial display destination after login, onboarding completion status, consent status for terms of use, and other settings are stored on the device.

4.3 Bookmarks

The list of favorite or bookmarked URLs added by the user is stored on the device. It is not transmitted to our servers.

4.4 Tab Information

By default, the App enables private mode and does not persistently store the list of tab URLs. Only when the user disables private mode in the settings will the list of tab URLs be stored on the device. If private mode is enabled again, the stored tab information will be deleted.

4.5 Activity Data

Only if the user expressly enables the activity recording function, the App stores data such as time spent by platform on the device. The stored data consists of classification values by type of SNS and time spent in seconds, and does not include individual URLs, browsing contents, search terms, or posted content.

As a general rule, activity data is retained for the past 90 days, and older data is deleted.

4.6 iCloud Backup

Some settings, consent status, onboarding completion status, activity data, and similar information may be included in iCloud backups depending on the user’s iOS settings. Cookies, cache, site data, bookmarks, tab URL lists, and similar data are excluded from iCloud backups to the extent reasonably possible.

5. JavaScript Injection and Display Control

The App may apply JavaScript, CSS, content-blocking rules, or other processing to web pages in order to improve the UI of the displayed web page and hide or control advertisements, recommendation displays, pop-ups, and other elements that may be considered unnecessary.

The purposes of such processing are limited to the following:

  1. Hiding or suppressing ad spaces, recommendation widgets, pop-ups, trend displays, and similar elements;
  2. Controlling the display of specific buttons, links, areas, or other UI elements;
  3. Assisting operations such as closing dialogs; and
  4. Implementing focus mode or usage time limits set by the user.

We do not perform the following through JavaScript injection or display control:

  1. Transmitting text field input, passwords, authentication codes, authentication tokens, or cookie values to our servers;
  2. Transmitting users’ browsing contents, search terms, posted content, or form submission content to our servers;
  3. Recording user behavior on third-party services for our analytics, advertising, marketing, or tracking purposes; or
  4. Tracking users across apps or websites owned by other companies.

However, because web page display control technically involves access to the page structure, the App’s code may reference the DOM structure of the page. We do not transmit the referenced results to our servers and use them only for on-device display control.

6. External Communications

6.1 Acquisition of Ad-Blocking Rules and Similar Data

The App may communicate with GitHub or other external distribution sources in order to obtain the latest ad-blocking rules or display control rules. Such communications are for the purpose of obtaining rule definition files.

When such communications occur, we do not transmit names, email addresses, browsing history, search terms, cookie values, authentication information, or similar data. However, due to the nature of Internet communications, the user’s IP address, device communication environment, access time, User-Agent, and similar information may be recorded in the server logs of GitHub or other distribution sources. The handling of information by such external distribution sources is subject to their respective privacy policies.

The filter lists used by us include lists based on EasyList. License notices and credits are displayed in the “License Information” screen in the App or on our website.

6.2 Communications When Browsing Third-Party Services

When a user browses SNS, video services, search engines, or other websites through the in-app browser, communications occur between the user and the relevant third-party service in the same manner as ordinary web browsing. Such communications may include accessed URLs, cookies, login status, IP address, device and browser information, posted or input contents, and similar information.

These communications occur between the user and the relevant third-party service, and we do not acquire or store the content of such communications through our servers.

7. Third-Party SDKs

At present, the App does not incorporate crash reporting SDKs, analytics SDKs, advertising delivery SDKs, advertising measurement SDKs, social login SDKs, or other third-party SDKs that transmit user information externally.

If we introduce any third-party SDK in the future, we will revise this App Policy and, where necessary, provide notice to users, obtain consent, update App Store privacy disclosures, and take other necessary measures.

8. In-App Purchases

At present, the App does not provide in-app purchases or other paid features. Accordingly, there are currently no paid transactions in the App.

If we introduce in-app purchases in the future, we will update this App Policy and the App Store privacy disclosures in advance and provide necessary notices in accordance with applicable platform requirements and applicable law. Payment processing will be conducted through Apple’s in-app purchase system, and we will not receive credit card numbers or other payment information.

9. User Controls and Deletion

Users can delete cookies, cache, site data, and similar information through the “Cache and Sign Out” function or other functions in the App.

Users can also delete data stored by the App on the device by deleting the App through the iOS Settings app. However, information stored in areas not controlled by us, such as iCloud backups, Apple, third-party services, external distribution sources, or similar locations, must be managed and deleted in accordance with the settings and policies of each service.

10. Age Rating and Use by Minors

The App is intended for users aged 18 or older (App Store rating 18+). Because the App includes unrestricted web access functions, it is intended for use by persons aged 18 or older in accordance with Apple’s age rating standards.

For general matters regarding use by minors, please review “Use by Minors” in the Common Privacy Policy at the top of this page. Parents and guardians should appropriately manage web browsing and purchases by minors using iOS features such as Screen Time, Content & Privacy Restrictions, purchase restrictions, Family Sharing, and other available controls.

Revision History

  • June 9, 2026: Established
  • June 21, 2026: Revised to integrate with the common policy, unify wording, and revise the intended age rating
  • July 16, 2026: Revised to unify wording and clarify the age rating

8key Privacy Policy

Notice: This section explains the data collection and handling practices specific to “8key.” For common matters such as operator information, governing law, contact, use by minors, security, handling of personal information, and other general matters, please be sure to review the Common Privacy Policy at the top of this page.

The operator of 8key (the “App”) establishes this privacy policy (this “App Policy”) for the handling of user information in the App as follows.

1. Scope

This App Policy applies to the handling of user information in the App and the Keyboard Extension included in the App.

When a user enters text through the App into another app, website, SNS, messaging service, search service, or other third-party service, the terms of use, privacy policies, and other terms of the relevant third-party service apply to the handling of information by that third-party service. We do not control the handling of information by such third-party services.

2. Basic Policy

The App’s Keyboard Extension does not acquire typed text, text being converted, candidate selection contents, or contents of password fields for the purpose of transmitting them to our servers.

The App provides basic input functions to the extent permitted by iOS even when Full Access permission is not enabled. If Full Access permission is enabled, the App uses the App Group area so that the Keyboard Extension can read settings, user dictionaries, emoticons, decoration templates, design themes, cached purchase status, and similar data saved by the main app.

The main app may communicate with services provided by Apple and RevenueCat for purposes such as obtaining product information for Premium themes, verifying purchase status, restoring purchases, and other purchase processing. These communications do not transmit keyboard input contents.

The main app may retrieve announcement data published by us on GitHub Pages. This communication occurs once when a new main-app process starts (including when the user opens the main app from the Home Screen, but excluding the return of an already-running main app from the background), and when the user explicitly retries after a failed retrieval. It is not performed by the Keyboard Extension and does not transmit keyboard input contents.

3. Data We Do Not Collect

During ordinary use, the App does not transmit or store the following data on our servers:

  1. Text typed with the keyboard, text being converted, candidate selection contents, or contents of password fields;
  2. Posted content, message content, form submission content, or search terms;
  3. Passwords, authentication codes, passkeys, authentication tokens, cookie values, or session IDs;
  4. Name, email address, telephone number, address, or other contact information;
  5. Location information;
  6. Camera, microphone, contacts, or photo library information;
  7. IDFA, advertising IDs, or tracking IDs;
  8. Advertising measurement data or usage analytics data for identifying users; or
  9. Information about the app into which text is entered, or account information or profile information for third-party services.

4. Data Stored on the Device or in the App Group Area

The App stores the following data on the user’s device or in the App Group area in order to provide its functions. This data is not transmitted to our servers.

4.1 Keyboard Settings

Kana input settings, QWERTY input settings, number and symbol input settings, display settings, selected design themes, onboarding completion status, consent status for terms of use, and other settings are stored on the device or in the App Group area.

4.2 User Dictionaries, Emoticons, and Decoration Templates

User dictionaries, emoticons, decoration templates, and other input assistance data registered or edited by the user are stored on the device or in the App Group area. They are not transmitted to our servers.

4.3 Cached Purchase Status

Premium theme unlock status, purchase status verification time, and other information necessary to reflect paid features may be cached on the device or in the App Group area. This cache is used so that the Keyboard Extension can determine whether Premium themes are available.

4.4 iCloud Backup

Settings, user dictionaries, emoticons, decoration templates, cached purchase status, and similar data stored by the App on the device or in the App Group area may be included in iCloud backups depending on the user’s iOS settings. The handling of information in iCloud backups is subject to Apple’s terms and privacy policy.

4.5 Announcement Data

To display announcements and avoid unnecessary communications, the main app stores a cache of announcement data, update validation information (ETag), and the IDs of announcements marked as read on the device. This information is not shared with the Keyboard Extension through the App Group area.

5. Full Access Permission

Full Access permission can be enabled or disabled at the user’s discretion in iOS settings. If Full Access permission is disabled, some settings, user dictionaries, design themes, or other functions may not be reflected in the Keyboard Extension.

We do not transmit keyboard input contents to our servers through Full Access permission.

6. External Communications

6.1 Keyboard Extension

The App’s Keyboard Extension is designed so that it does not have communication processing for transmitting keyboard input contents to our servers.

6.2 Purchase Processing in the Main App

The main app may communicate with services provided by Apple and RevenueCat for purposes such as obtaining product information for Premium themes, verifying purchase status, restoring purchases, and other purchase processing.

Keyboard input contents, text being converted, candidate selection contents, and contents of password fields are not transmitted in such communications.

6.3 Announcement Retrieval in the Main App

To display announcements, the main app communicates with announcement data published by us on GitHub Pages, which is provided by GitHub, Inc. This communication occurs once when a new main-app process starts, and when the user explicitly retries after a failed retrieval. It does not occur solely because an already-running main app returns from the background, and it is not performed by the Keyboard Extension.

During this communication, the IP address, date and time of the request, and general technical information relating to the device, operating system, or networking software may be transmitted to or automatically collected by GitHub. According to GitHub, when a GitHub Pages site is accessed, the visitor’s IP address is logged and stored for security purposes. The main app may also send an ETag previously returned by GitHub in order to determine whether the published announcement data has been updated.

Such communications do not include keyboard input contents, text being converted, candidate selection contents, user dictionaries, emoticons, decoration templates, purchase information, or other content saved by the user in the App. GitHub’s handling of information is subject to the GitHub Privacy Statement.

7. Third-Party Services and Third-Party SDKs

The App uses RevenueCat to verify purchase status and provide paid features. RevenueCat may handle purchase history, receipt information, anonymous app user IDs, and other information necessary for purchase processing. RevenueCat’s handling of information is subject to RevenueCat’s privacy policy.

The main app uses GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc.) for the static distribution of announcement data. For information about GitHub’s handling of information when GitHub Pages is accessed, please review the GitHub General Privacy Statement.

At present, the App does not incorporate advertising delivery SDKs, advertising measurement SDKs, social login SDKs, or other third-party SDKs intended to track users across apps or websites owned by other companies.

If we change the use of third-party SDKs or external services in the future, we will revise this App Policy and, where necessary, provide notice to users, obtain consent, update App Store privacy disclosures, and take other necessary measures.

8. In-App Purchases
